Monopoly Here and Now Electronic Banking Edition – Monopoly was the first board game to become extremely popular, and almost every single person in the world is aware of what it is. Over the years, however, board games have become less popular and Monopoly has gotten a reputation for being a comparatively boring game. In order to continue selling this game, Hasbro has adapted it to be more involved and closer to the things that we use in our every day life. This means going electronic and using cards instead of cash!

With this new version of Monopoly, the game focuses on using an entirely electronic currency instead of the token small colored bills of the old days. This is a great move because kids will be much more likely to identify with using credit and debit cards then they will with cash. Additionally, Hasbro kills two birds with one stone because they introduce a rather cool electronic component with these cards that makes it more than just a “board game.”
The game utilizes a card swiper (specially designed for the game by Visa) to handle the transfer and the exchange of money throughout the traditional game of monopoly. This means that instead of having to count out bills and deal it around, each player just gets a card at the beginning and goes from there. This makes the game much more playable because in the old game, it was hard to keep track of all the money, and counting out and distributing it is a large part of what made the game so long. Hasbro also updated the game to have all of the latest London landmarks so that people will feel more familiar with the game. On the topic of games this BopIt XT is a really good laugh and if you want to captue the moment or have your kids take the photos but don’t want to put your own digital camera in harms way, this kiddizoom camera is just the job.

Monopoly Here and Now Electronic Banking Edition The Reviews:
The majority of reviews are overwhelmingly positive for this game, and the common theme in them is that this is a great new version of an old favorite. The new credit card aspect changes the game play a little bit, but it ultimately leaves the overall theme the same. For many new adopters, they really enjoyed using the electronic keypad and many reviews said that younger kids loved imagining that they had their own debit card to buy up the different properties.
In all the reviews, the only negative point that was mentioned was from the die hard Monopoly fans. A few people mentioned that they tried the game out because they wanted a game similar to the old Monopoly for the whole family. Unfortunately, due to the fact there is no money involved, they said they didn’t get as much of a nostalagic feeling from it. Nonetheless, those same people rated the game four stars and said the game itself was still very similar, but merely updated for the current generation to enjoy.
